I had found previous therapies ineffective for my particular Complex PTSD needs and started to lose hope of experiencing meaningful improvement before I met Jessica and the team at Temenos. From the first call with Jessica I could tell the holistic assisted psychotherapy approach at Temenos was different. The team took the time to thoroughly evaluate my unique circumstances and needs instead of jumping in immediately with the re-traumatizing and ineffective therapies I'd experienced with most other approaches.
In the evaluation phrases I initially had hopes I would be able to move straight to focusing on the most pressing issues I faced but it became apparent during the first session how much foundational work I needed to do to. I discovered my specific early life experiences had left me with an inability to truly care about and for myself in the same way I could care for others. Jessica's thousands of hours of experience with assisted psychotherapy treatments combined with the skill of the medical team gave them the tools they needed to rapidly adapt the protocol to my needs.
I experienced multiple seismic transformations over the course of the well-defined but flexible treatment protocol. The most pivotal aspect for me was discovering all of the various complex parts I had been carrying with me throughout my life. Jessica and the team used effective strategies drawing from Internal Family Systems concepts to help me connect with my protectors in exile and other hurting parts of me from my childhood.
The assisted portion of the assisted psychotherapy was an extremely important component in helping reduce the fight-or-flight responses which had previously derailed other therapy approaches. The team consistently identified exactly what I needed while adjusting their care to my requests. Establishing a safe space was one of the major wins early on and I never felt unsafe.
Each session helped give me the tools I needed to access challenging emotions and process them. In later sessions I experienced a sensation of physically letting go that extended to a release of tension in my body, a visceral feeling of having the freedom to not hold on tightly I had only ever experienced once before. The transformation has positively impacted me and I've grown in my capacity to address Complex PTSD responses in healthier ways.
I'm very thankful for all Jessica and everyone else at Temenos has done for me and I look forward to working with them again in the future as I continue my journey.

My work with Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with Dr. McIninch has been a profoundly life changing experience. At the beginning I was nervous about a non naturally occurring compound and what it would uncover. I walked into her practice feeling overwhelmed, riddled with anxiety and unprocessed trauma. Dr McIninch guided me through this process so gently and always made me feel supported. The first few weeks I started experiencing big shifts in my perspectives and my relationships especially with family. The experience enriched my connection with my mother. I started feeling more connected and whole.
After a few weeks of treatments I feel so much lighter, my anxiety is almost non-existent, and I have found deep purpose in treating myself and others with unrelenting kindness. Dr McIninch created a safe environment conducive to me opening up. She guided me through some turbulent times that produced some deep breakthroughs. Today, after a couple of months removed from treatment I feel changed, better equipped to deal with difficult situations, and excited for what is to come. The care that I have received from Dr McIninch and Hill Park has been nothing short of exceptional. The whole experience has felt like one big family eager to support me in your pursuit of health and longevity.

I made the decision to work with Jessica McIninich in ketamine sessions to address significant PTSD, which shows up in my body as hypervigilance and anxiety, signs of an overactive amygdala. I appreciated the care with which I was vetted before taking psychedelic medicine—both by Jessica and my naturopath, Dr. Denise Cooluris.
On my first journey, I watched and felt my amygdala quiet, and delighted in that peace. Repeated journeys were instructive on how to calm the overactivity without ketamine medicine.
Jessica made the space wholly safe for me. I felt cared for, seen, and protected, which enabled me to fully relax.
I cherish the time I have spent with Jessica. I am moving in life with less anxiety and more confidence.
